Year-Ender 1: Star Fortunes in 2024

Alia Bhatt, who can be termed No. 1 today, had just one film, her own production Jigra, which did not do well,

No, I am no astrologer, but we are merely talking about how the actors and actresses who mattered fared in 2024.
The top stars at the moment seem to be (in a first for Hindi cinema) the power couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and the former did not have any release but has the cream of assignments in Ramayan, Love And War, Animal Park and what is probable after that, Dhoom: 4 as the antagonist. Alia Bhatt had only one film—also her production, Jigra. The film did not do well at all. She is also the first female spy in the YRF Spy Universe movie, Alpha, which will soon go on floors.

The Absentees

After the delay in Aamir Khan’s Sitaren Zameen Par, his only release has been Laapataa Ladies as a producer. Salman Khan has had only two cameos (Singham Again and Baby John, which releases on Christmas as the last film of the year). Shah Rukh Khan too was absent from the scene. And Sunny Deol, who made such a whopping impact with Gadar 2 last year, was missing too. Ayushmann Khurrana and Kiara Advani were also ‘absent’.
